  1. A distinctly middle-class hipster (argh, remember your roots boy!) as I'd hopped on the bike to go to an auction at Lyon and Turnbull at lunch in the hope of getting some wonderful Japanese prints. My budget got well and truly sunk however.

Anyway, new Walz cap has seen me look like a Nazi (think Indiana Jones punching a Nazi in a submarine base and catching his cap in the air); and an old man. I don't care. I likes it.

Not quite yet. The look requires a 'tache to be complete (pop to Unfunny Ha Ha and get their 'aristocrat' or 'wing commander' model) and a pair of pastel blue leggings would possibly set it off even more...

I was the anti-hipster today. Full length lycra leggings, booties, narrow fit yellow cycling jersey, full finger gloves, skullcap and helmet with reflective band - on a singlespeed...

You are so not a hipster. Have you seen what they wear? But the look is cool enough to make a millionaire kick a dent in a car door.

I tried out my Sugoi cap this morning. I have the say the peak is a bit vicious but it could just be a question of getting used to it, I don't really need to see UP that much anyway. So long as I can see traffic lights it should be fine. And I am very unlikely to get mistaken for a hipster which is the main thing. Here is a picture of me wearing it.

Kaputnik - as with many folk recently - you have now switched to shorts - is it summer? At least you had long sleeves etc There have been some iron men out there in summer attire. It is still freezing and it has been wet and cold every morning. What is the point of showering before setting off?

Anth - have you seen the 1939 John Ford film Stagecoach? John wayne sports bigger turn ups than you but size isn't everything

Yeah I got thoroughly cold and soaked on way in this morning. Had to wring my socks out into the bin, and they were still wet after a day in the drying room.

I've been in shorts for 2 or 3 weeks now, have just recently dispensed with the knee warmers that give a false impression of wearing 3/4 lengths.

I did the decent thing and wore my baggies to Peter's Yard on Monday...
