Bah. I much more worried about the thousands of times more engines sitting idle waiting in the traffic.

  3. "There wouldnt be pollution hotspots if they hadnt ruined the roads network in and around Edinburgh by widening pavements, having huge traffic islands to jam traffic up and cutting down perfectly good 2 lane roads such as Ferry Road into 1 lane tailbacks all the time or look at the state of Easter Road and Leith Walk since they messed around with that.

Its not rocket science that if you half the amount of room for cars to go into the queues will be twice as long hence more pollution, make the city free flowing for traffic and you cut out such hotspots!"

Or put another way, There wouldn't be pollution hotspots if there weren't so many cars.

    free flowing for traffic

bit of a contradiction there. If it were free-flowing there wouldn't be traffic.

Back to the old "you're not in traffic, you are traffic"
