Dave, is the lockring/whip still around?

I have a selection of spokes and nipples from my recent adventure in wheel building, only been laced to a wheel never ridden... In fact a few of these haven't even been near a wheel.
36x 282mm inc nipples
36x 292mm inc nipples£5 each set.

Got some 'Friko' touring handlebars. Quite narrow drops - from the 70s I think... Didn't sell on eBay - unlike the Nitto stem from the same bike, which I got 30 quid for...

@steveo If you still have them I might be able to use a set of your surplus spokes for rebuilding the front wheel of the spare bike. The rear was 292 or 294 and the front has the same rim and a very similar-looking hub flange but I'll check the length this evening.

@Uberuce - sorry, I missed that. I think I still have it, although it's probably migrated towards the bottom of the pile. I'll take a look.

@wingpig yeah still got them let me know if you need them and I'll bring them into the office on Tuesday.

292mm would be lovely, ta.

Thankee Dave. What kinda cold hard cash would you be looking for it?

Being last man standing (with rack space) for this morning's coffee, I've acquired the following.
Bit of a shame for those without morning coffee inclinations to miss out on the goodies, so feel free to shout for one or more...
* Genuine CatEye rear reflector and seat post mount
* Bottle dynamo and mount (unused)
* EBC rear left pannier (black) : now gornRobert

Oops, tried to make an unordered list and clearly made a mess here...
Finally found the edit button...

EBC rear left pannier (black)
Our EBC panniers pretty well dead. Could certainly use another, but if someone has greater need, very happy to let them have first chance.

Pannier looked like very generous item - think that's the largest thing ever to turn up - from Smudge?
Good turnout on the shortest day of the year...
I came away with a pudding - thanks SRD. Need to do some extra hill laps in new year!
Posted 12 years ago # -
@SRD, if you need a longer bit of bungee for the pannier, let me know and I'll cut you another length. :)

"Pannier looked like very generous item"
Yes, which is why someone else welcome to it - I can always invest in some more. Just very undecided about what to get ....getting a freebie would let me put off big decision for a bit longer!

Thanks to...
SRD for marmalade and largely functioning jar!
Laidback for genuine designed by Belgians for Scotland made in China musette.
Anth for may-or-may-not-find-a-use-for-it Tiagra brake caliper. If there's insufficient reach on the Tiagra to get round mudguards I will offer it back to the market.Posted 12 years ago # -
I'm not sure who donated the halogen lights, nice little project for me though. Thank you muchly.
That bottle dynamo mount was hard to find but will only fit on round fork legs.

Oh if anyone is interested I have something called a "bike buddy".
It replaces a bottle cage and is for carrying a flask or a liquid fuel canister or similar. Unfortunately my flask doesn't fit with it, and I'm not willing to give up my flask as it was a present from a friend. And it is yellow...
So if anyone thinks they might be able to use?
Posted 12 years ago # -
If the bottle dynamo is really going unwanted, bring it to the next meet up and I'll try to fit it to my trailer. I just assumed that some innocent soul would have a more conventional and worthy need for it.

Pannier wasn't that generous, I wore out the rh one, and it was just gathering dust as I have the ortliebs now.
First claim first get I'd say, besides, you'll need it for transporting all the spokes buffs you are selling ;-)Thanks to whoever donated the Avid disc, is nice to have a spare for my mtb, if anyone needs it before I do though, then shout out! :)
Posted 12 years ago # -
Avid disc was me. Too large for the X frame, and somehow in the process of the build I've got another two spare (that will fit, and will also fit the MTB if needed, though the front is now a monster 185).
Did anyone grabe the old lights? Would be interesting to see the bodge that makes them useful... ;)
Posted 12 years ago # -
Yeah I've nabbed the lights, now trying to work out how well they'll heat sink a modern uber high power led...
Posted 12 years ago # -
I'm kinda hoping we get the royal treatment at PY in future as well after putting a wee 'tip' in the card for them. ;)

designed by Belgians for Scotland made in China musette.
Was printed in Penicuik... so not 100% Chinese.
Rennersport website is handled in Norway by someone from here who lives there. So all very international;-)Posted 12 years ago # -
Thanks for the dynamo. Good to see it has contact points for two cables. Now I can fit a second bike with human powered lights!

The Bike Buddy has found a good new home, being swapped with Crowriver for the below north road-type bars, for project SHOPPINGBIKE
Also now available is the Tiagra brake caliper late of Anth.
I picked it up at coffeeswap as it would have been good to replace the rear Tektro one on above bike that is made from cheese, but unfortunately it doesn't have quite the required drop in the arms for this frame.
Nearly new, silver finish, seems to be missing the cable clamp and bolt (they may have fallen off in my bag). Free to a good home.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Hmm. A rear road brake? Is the missing clamp bolt just a straight clamp bolt or a QR cam thing?
Posted 12 years ago # -
it's the bolt itself plus the little clamp with the channel to clamp the cable against the caliper body. The Tektro bolt and clamp part were not compatible.

Wanted: a spare magnet for an old computer I got in the Bike Station.
Just About as Good: knowledge of how small the magnet can be before it stops working.
At the minute I've gaffer taped a big chunky magnet to the spokes and that works fine, but it looks guff.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Offered: I have at least one spare CatEye magnet.
