The Station will take my rings no doubt but first dibs to this happy band of mothers.
Any one got a 8 speed derailer going spare? My brother has inherited my dad's old bike (after he got mine) and the rear mech just ate itself. Not like I've got lots of time to repair it but little point in spending loads to pay the bike shop to repair a 15 year old hard rock.

Is it 8 speed?
Even so, mech doesn’t need to be ‘8 speed’.
Almost anything will do.
Key thing is to match levers (number of gears) with number on cassette (or freewheel).

Its definitely 8 speed. I have a chain, and I'll get a new cassette but doesn't seem worth a new mech.
Having said that decathlon have one for £13 might be easier at the moment.
Anyone want the battery or lens cover out of an old Garmin VIRB camera (non-GPS version) as a spare? The camera appears to no longer recognise the presence of memory cards.

My mum used to have a special liquid for stretching shoes. She may still do.

If human feet could be engineered to sweat out this substance it would be a great way of breaking-in new running shoes and walking boots.

Nup. I've only ever had two pairs of leather walking boots. The first pair were two sizes too long so never needed stretching and the second pair were snug, possibly too so with thick walking socks but started fitting better a few years after I moved to more cycling than walking and my feet contracted a little.
Someone must have a octalink tool they're finished with or even just loan me? Going to refurb the cdf next and first job is getting the cranks and bb off.
