@gembo
You lurking on the Twitter? @Morningsider does but he keeps it quiet.

I'm quite attached to my workbench, but it will see minimal usage until later in spring so if you want to borrow it for a few weeks you would be welcome.

@iwrats, no I just scrolled down from the Ruth wishart Glaswegian urban cowboy after I stopped laffing
@acsimpson just to recap. The Iwrats is asking for the black and decker doodah because he lent one to someone and never got it back. But you dear heart are offering him one. On loan. Now I know he will give you it back but if he didn’t you wouldn’t have a leg to stand on, you would have to prop yourself up with your black and decker workbench which you wouldn’t have.

@acsimpson
That is very generous but @gembo is correct. You would never get it back and we would fall out. I can afford one, just like to re-use stuff where possible.

I got a Clarke one from Machine Mart in Piershill, does the job.

The Keter website comes up in French for me, nicely. Cheap tools are false economy as my dear old grandad said.

Has the black and decker patent run out?

Yes that looks quite cheap
I have an old saw horse that I like to think was the first thing my joiner pal’s dad made when he was training. To be a joiner. they all seem to be metal and foldable these days.
Though I nearly lost myself in Screwfix (lost in Screwfix, the follow up to lost in music) looking at very nice joiner’s tables still wooden with side order of MDF

When I was small my dad acquired a bunch of metal kitchen benches from an old workplace which were installed in our garage. Quite sturdy but not fixed to the floor enough to prevent the odd grinding screech when applying huge forces to something clamped in the vice bolted to the top.

I have sprung for a Keter. Bit bigger than expected but a lovely bit of kit and it was not much more than a WorkMate and clearly a more useful tool. You could sit an engine on it.

Wanted, looking for a MTB/hybrid suitable for my wife 5ft 7ish. Needs to be able to handle WOL type paths and the occasional longer ride on road. Looking on Gumtree/Ebay as well

Our children have grown out of the EBC tagalong which Greenroofer kindly gave us a few years ago. It's still working fine, although the connection is sloppy so the taglong wobbles. I'm not looking for anything in return, just come and collect it (or I might be able to drop it locally).

@acsimpson - great to hear that this is still going strong. It was, as I recall, quite a sturdy thing...

Trail-gator free-ish (coffee required) to a good home, or at least a home where it will be used.
as seen here: Don't use Amazon

anyone want an ikea pannier (similar to what shows on ebay as 'sommar 2017', but in grey and orange.
it's big and looks like it could be quite handy for shopping but doesn't work well on any of our bikes - too floppy for small wheel bikes. probably designed for continental style bikes.
Posted 3 years ago # -
@SRD I'll take that if noone else has already.
Posted 3 years ago # -
It’s yours. Do you want to DM me to arrange collection?

not cycling related:
well worn, thick kids wetsuit probably age 7-8 (too small for my 10yo
wearable and in good condition except for wear on the knees.

Does anyone have an old QR front wheel they are looking to part with? Our more accurately a front hub. It doesn't have to be functional and in fact disfunctional might be better.
I no longer have a front wheel for the frame on my turbo trainer and with winter approaching pinching it of another bike for every ride is getting tiresome.
Posted 3 years ago # -
@acsimpson Possibly... I'll check the shed.
Posted 3 years ago # -
No, only rear wheels, though one is a single speed rear...
