    Done!

If memory serves, your Gumtree spare is an MTB? I've got a 26" inner tube if you like. I bought it by mistake, am fairly sure it's 1.75-2.25, and *turns to wider readership* if wingpig passes, it's likewise free to a good home.

My spare uses the versatile and popular 700c wheel-format so that it can share things with the other bike. I require no goods or services in exchange for something which has been sitting in a box for years/months (depending on whether I find the old one I swapped out when I replaced my laundered Enduro/Mity or the newer one that came with the current Micro Wireless). Back on normal commuting routes (various EH6-EH1 and back) from tomorrow...

Wanted - mounting bits for a chain guard. Have a nice old stamped metal chain guard needing mounted, however the relevant brackets were not included in sale. So need the little right-angled arm that fits between crank and BB to support it at the front and then there's a little P-clip type thing that attached it to the chainstay at the back.

It's a long shot and I'll rake around TBS at the weekend. Might end up buying a yucky new one and scavenging the part from that.

would any one like a single speed conversion kit. The kit let you use a normal cassette hub for single speeding. Found another whilst clearing the spare room, or as the wife calls it the bairns room. 16t cog.
£5 or swap for something interesting...

Hi Steveo - I'm up for that as my round town racer needs a summer makeover. I could come pick it up?

Got a nearly-new copilot/thode gear seat at the NNS last week.

*Someone wanted the cushion from my old one.

*Also happy to swap sell the blackburn rack - looks hardly used

    * does anyone want my old and very nearly defunct copilot limo? could be salvaged for parts;

@SRD Is the rack an EX1 or EX2? Any ankle/leg straps on the old seat?

    EX1 (I think)

One of the foot-things complete; one is there, but the adjuster bit that moves it up and down broken/missing.

I have three saddles that are up for grabs, say £25 each?

Specialized Lithia Gel saddle, only about 250 miles on it so it's in excellent condition.

Selle Italia Flite, leather top, quite well used but has a good amount of life in it still.

San Marco Rolls, leather top which I think looks fairly good for 20 years old.

Anybody fancy a uni-cycle? I bought it when my children were small and never really gave it a fair go - got nowhere. It's now just sitting in the garage feeling sorry for itself.

Reckon I could bring it along to PY on Friday for anybody interested.

I know a man who would be interested in a unicycle. He has one on loan but would like one of his own. What are you looking for in exchange?

Just a good home and the knowledge it would be made use of - if you know the man, then that's good enough for me.

It would certainly get used. A couple of weeks ago he pedalled a unicycle from his house in Rosyth to mine for a cup of tea. He's also pedalled across the FRB on a unicycle, narrowly avoiding arrest (they don't like it apparently).

Cheers. Only tricky thing is that I won't be at PY on Friday. But maybe next week - a morning stint like last time. I need to arrange pannier return with Dave.

Not, I admit, a bikey thing at all, but my shiny new copy of Hero doesn't like the regional settings on my computer's Blu-Ray software. Next patch I'll be able to change it, but until then, said utterly beautiful kungfu masterpiece is looking for a good home on 1080 pixels near you...

Arellcat, any chance you're still selling that Selle Italia?

  17. Brown Charge Spoon saddle I'll put up for offer here first. I thought it had started creaking, which gave me the excuse for a new Brooks, but turns out it was the seatpost.

Ah well. Got the Brooks now, and no bike which suits a brown saddle.

@SBF, yes, all three are still available. The Flite is dated 1999 and weighs 247g; the Rolls is 1992/364g and the Lithia is 2009/313g.

We've got two child seats looking for new homes.

A Hamax sleepy seat including a new bike mount. We bought the new one to use it on a second bike and never did so, but I can't find the original! Well used but in good condition. Blue/red colour, about 8 or 9 years old. We'd like about £15 for this but open to offers.

A v old Rhode Gear/Co Pilot. Just the basic one i.e. not the one that can be a free-standing seat. This doesn't have foot straps so you need to ensure the childs feet can't get caught in the wheels. We used it on a small wheeled Helios so it wasn't a problem. This was given to us without the Blackburn rack and we're happy to pass it on on the same basis. We may consider an offer on the rack / a swap with a similar quality rack.

We live in Comely Bank but I will be driving to Marchmont / Bruntsfield tonight and so can drop off if necessary. Other times/areas by negotiation.

    Garg. Urgent Request.

Anyone got a 700C cassette back wheel they're interested in getting shot of? Cheaper the better in some senses!

My efforts at straightening my back wheel are failing miserably (suspect it's written off) and I may be forced to ride a frankly embarrassing hastily recommissioned winter bike for the next while!(1 brake - no gears as I stole the dereillieur from it)

I replaced the mirror bit of my 'mountain mirrycle' (as seen in tbw). If anyone has any use for the rest of the fitting, it is brand-new and still in original box.

My two kiddy seats (see above post) are still available. I've just noticed the Rhode Gear/Co-pilot taxi does have slits for foot straps but the straps are not there. If you know anyone who'd make use of either seat, please point them in my direction.

I have a rear pannier rack that is free to a good home if anyone wants it. It is for a mountain bike but fitted on my cross bike (700c) okay. It has had a long and hard life but is perfectly sound if not perfectly pretty.

    Needing Good Home:

120mm flipflop wheel. System Ex hub onto Mavic Open Pro rim, with 15 tooth cog'n'lock that I can't be bothered removing unless you really don't want it.

7 months old and nothing wrong with it that I can detect. It's up for grabs because I put gears back onto black fruity, and the OLD on wee blue floofy is 135mm so it's no use as a spare for it.

It's a bit too shiny to give away free, but trade or a low Gumtree price would be grand.

Would anyone like a blue childs handlebar bag? It is Trek and very similar to this one. It just velcros on.

Going to build my friend a bike from bitsa this and bitsa that.

On the lookout for wheels (700c, for a 23-28 tyre or thereabouts), mudguards and brake levers for drops (non-integrated), brakes (modernish dual-pivots preferred) if anyone has anything kicking about they no longer need. Happy to swap, steal or part with cashpounds as appropriate. May also need to replace the cranks and chainrings, bottom bracket was out of alignment so cant tell if it's true enough to bother keeping until I have something fairly solid and straight to spin them around on. Oh and seatpost. And some genericish saddle too...

There will be trips made to Bikestation to try and reclaim parts from there too, but if I would be doing anyone a favour by recycling no-longer-required bits then it might just get another cyclist on the road!

I have a TBW cheapo cassette-accepting-hubbed rear wheel which I used for a couple of months in between realising my R500's rim was dangerously outwardly bent and me building the proper replacement. Technically it's awaiting use on the Frame in the Loft but that's unlikely to be ready anytime this year, so it's yours for the buying.
