Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Thanks for link Custard, think I've managed to blag a free pair through facebook
Just found the Tektro dual pivot rear I swapped out a few months ago. Old and cheap but functional and free.
@kap
How you doing for saddles? I have a few kicking around that have been displaced by Brooks. Nothing wrong with them - two Bontrager and the original from my Croix de Fer. Any use?
Brakes are fine it would seem, just needed taken apart, stripped of filth and re-assembled and polished.
Looks like chdot has some levers I can appropriate.
@instography saddle still required so would be interested in any of those.
One left hand pannier. The backing to it is a little tired, so it's useless unless your rack has a decent dogleg.
Fabric and clips seem in good order, but it's medium-faffy velcro to properly secure, so I'd really only offer it to someone who wants a pannier they don't mind leaving on the bike since they won't care if it's nicked.
Probably shouldn't be diluting this thread with non bike items* but just discovered an unopened Ink Jet Cartridge. It's a Tesco H70 which is "For Printers using HP 45 cartridge"
See Tesco website for full printer list.
Anyone want it then let me know.
(*you could use it to print pictures of bicycles I suppose)
My mate is selling his unused second set of panniers any one interested? The first set he used on our c2c earlier in the year and they looked pretty good to my eye equal to ortlieb though not cotton duck or Carradice :D. Think he bought the second lot for the wife who scoffed at the idea of carrying luggage pointing that he need the exercise...
They're brand new still in there packet and have decent R&K fixtures.
These are the bags, though his are a nice fetching shade of blue. http://www.ghyllside.co.uk/pacific-outdoor-waterproof-rear-pannier-set-44-litre.html
£80 posted.
PM me and I'll put you guys in touch.
Looks like I might have a set of unused Charge "slice" bullhorn bars on offer. Silver. aluminium They are flat, not low-profile ones.
25.4mm clamp. Bought for one purpose, then decided I prefered the feel and fit of an old pair of drops sawed off and flipped upside down.
New, but with a slight scuffing on the bend where they went around the stem, (this would be under the tape, unless you were planning on hipster no-tape) hence not able to return to shop. £10.
Due to lack-of-same-wheel-size-front-and-back-itis, I have an unused 26" front guard.

Yours for a loving smile. In Glasgow, but I will be passing through Edinburgh Waverley for about 20 minutes on Friday night and could bring it along.
On a related note, if anyone happens to have a spare 20" front guard, I'd be interested in taking it off you hands...
We've finished with our Copilot Taxi bike seat. It's been well-loved over the past six years or so, but now needs a good home. In its life we've replaced the hinge thingy for the handrail and the straps. We've probably lost one of the footstraps, but might it them in a cupboard somewhere. It's got extra reflectives on the back
If you want it, you'll need to have a Blackburn rack to mount it on. I'm afraid that's staying on the bike!
Free to a good home, for collection from Morningside.
PM me if you're interested.
Brompton front battery light extension bar
I've been given an extension bracket for M-type bars to give the front battery light a bit of extra height:
QVBKTFLAMBAT for those that speak codes...
I've got a dynamo, so am quite happy for this to find a better home.
Robert
SWMBO got a freebie rear wheel with a broken rear hub recently so we could use the spokes to make branding irons with for the Guides. (They work quite well since you ask, thanks :-))
Well the rim looks ok, so if anyone wants it they can have it, it's a plain alloy rim, 36h with "MACH1..M110...622..19C.ALLOY.6063.205*10.1*" stamped on it.
I have three road brake cables for which I have no use, having no brake levers which accept their kind.
I have a pair of pannier bags very much like these which will be available to any one who wants them in the next couple of days. They're not brilliant, the clips are just slightly shaped metal hooks and it uses elastic to help secure them. But they're pretty big and fairly sturdy. I used them for a off road tour a couple of years ago and they get trotted out occasionally if I have need to move stuff. I've finally got round to getting ones with decent fixings. Altrua Arrans 25% of at Halfords for next day or so.
622..19C.ALLOY.6063
622..19C suggests only suitable for road tyres.
Alloy 6063 is the aluminium alloy from which it is fashioned.
I still have those Charge Slice bullhorns (unused) going if anyone is interestant.
Looking for a spare leather toestrap. Perhaps even 2.
Anyone got spares (or know where local sells them?)
Not leather, but if you're stuck, I've got toe straps.
Sorry just found this thread for selling items - i made a separate post for an arkel trunk bag and a larbe waterproof ortileb seat bag.
That's fine - this thread is mostly for people clearing out their bike attic and wanting payment in amusement rather than cold hard cash.
Update: flat handlebar in ~50cm range and studdy MTB flat pedals are looking for good home.
Not exactly bike stuff but free!

A bit of garage tidying has produced the following available bits:
2 x tyres: Continental Ultra Sport 700 x 23c hardly used
1 x tyre: Marathon 700 x 25c hardly used
1 mirror - fixes on the end of a flat handlebar
1 Ridgeback saddle - softer than I like
1 Easton Aero wheel - the rim is probably too bent but the hub is good -20h 700
1 Bianchi wheel - the rim is unsafe but the Deore hub is fine - 32h 700
Let me know if you are interested.

If it's not too greedy, I could take those off your hands.
@crowriver Would you be able to pick them up sometime? I'm out in Eskbank. PM me
A reminder about the bits that I have on offer (free) still:

The wheel hubs could be used by someone with a build-your-own-wheel project
2 16g threaded CO2 cartridges free to anyone who needs them.
Or swap for 2 of the non threaded variety if anyone has been as incompetent as me and bought the wrong ones only to discover this after ripping the packaging apart!
Edinburgh Uni central area, or Fifeshire.
If you can't get them swapped, I'm interested.
I've got some unthreaded CO2 cartridges somewhere, although think they were bout about 5 years ago and never used. Sure they're still good though?
Please someone come and take these away for nothing:
Help. I forgot to close the UL and I've broken the forum.
Edit: fixed it now.
