A pair of flat pedals with toe straps. Free to anyone who wants them. Brand new (I took them straight off my new bike to put my clipless pedals on).

Tempting.... But I might get the ones off MR SRD's bike when (if) he upgrades. Happy to defer to others who haven't bagged as much stuff on here as I have already!

@fimm, I can take those off your hands. Will PM regarding pickup if no-one else has claimed them already.

Anyone got a freestanding bike storage solution? Or an idea of what to use to turn one of the non free standing stands into a gravity held stand? I also need some sort of floor protective sheet/carpet/tarpaulin if anyone has one to hand?
Also I'll be giving away/selling some bits soon including
*A Mongoose BMX (just needs a new bottom bracket I think) but otherwise pretty solid. It's mainly been used for me to look hilarious on, and to goto the pub. If anyones interested let me know.

I can offer:
- compact, lightweight pannier rack (narrows at top)
- saddle
- cyclocross stem
- bell
- cateye front light

Will bring all of it to PY tomorrow .
All free, except the rack for which I ask a mere £5 to cover breakfast at PY :)

Hey Eddie that saddle would look great on a retro build I've got going at the moment.....
Posted 10 years ago # -
I'd also give you a fiver for the rack.......
Posted 10 years ago # -
But I won't be at PY......:-(

I still have at least two road-lever-swaged brake cables.

Good rack. Got that one on my tricross.

Any chance of doing something like a car boot (or trailer "boot") where you just bring along stuff, bike mainly, that you don't want either for sale, swap or give away. I have a fair bit of stuff I don't need or want but can't be bothered writing down and making multiple handover arrangements.

Free Specialized saddle, one of these size 143.
http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/specialized-bg-avatar-comp-gel
Been round the block (about 16,000 miles), battered and bruised, creaks a bit (always has), but is pretty comfy and will probably do another 16,000 miles.

I've got a pair of BB5 calipers free to a good home (one where they can enjoy the company of other BB5s). They are well used and show it so probably only ideal for spares and repairs but the pads should have a bit of life yet and other spares could be salvaged from them.

Baldcyclist, could I please have the Specialized saddle? I've been having some problems with leg pains using my old Flite and I suspect it might be the saddle that's to blame. A no-cost replacement would be very welcome (esp. after the last two Audaxes).

Cyclingmollie, no worries. I'll stick it in my pannier tomorrow, and we can arrange a central Edinburgh meet for whenever suits you.

Baldcyclist, I have freed up tomorrow morning. So any time up to 1pm would be fine. Please let me know where and when suits you best.

Silver 105 standard (non-compact) crankset. 172.5 length. Octalink type. A little scuffed. Chainrings worn.
105 Octalink BB. 68x109. Only a few months' heavy use. Looks a little manky on the outside.
Anyone have compact (110) 50/34 silver chainrings?

My goodness Baldcyclist, I owe you one. That is the first pain-free ride I have had in months. I had no idea my Flite Titanium had become so painful.

I have my old track pump up for grabs to anyone who would like one.
It's a few years old but fully functional, with a pressure gauge. The handle was loose and so I was given a new one for Christmas, however while I had the glue gun out at the weekend I took a few seconds to fix it.
It would be ideal for anyone who doesn't yet have one or would like one to leave at a second location.

Double-child trailer for sale.

I have a set of Michelin XC AT 29x2" tyres. Part worn, but still plenty life left. Free to good home, but probably best not to use them indoors, would get mud on the carpet!

I really like the idea posted quite a few posts up and some months ago now of a bike equivalent of a carboot sale for bike spares and kit. It seems to me like a fab idea. I have loads of stuff here that could do with being rehomed. Saddles, panniers, tools, pedals, other 'outdoorkit' but none of it is really worth the hassle of putting it on line to sell/swap.
Anyone got any ideas of how we could arrange a one off (in the first instance) swap shop/table sale place for cyclistsPosted 9 years ago # -
I think it's called Peter's Yard, Lizzie. :)

"I think it's called Peter's Yard, Lizzie. :)"
Think that's (mostly) just the pre-Christmas one.
I have just provisionally arranged a 'fairly central' venue with a mid May or mid June option.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here already but theres a Bike Jumble sale at Newtongrange Mining Museum on the 22nd between 10-2.35. I believe you can take a pitch if you're so inclined.
Event is advertised on facebook.
