Clipless pedals still available. About to chuck them on GumBay, so PM today if interested.

Pair of used Shimano M520 SPD clip less pedals, black, with removable flat pedal insert on one side. Removed from a recently purchased second hand bike. Bearings seem in good condition, some scratches etc. but all intact, working.

Sell for a tenner, otherwise swap for one of the following:

    - 700c x 28mm Marathon (or Marathon Plus) tyre in good condition
    - 8 speed/triple or friction bar end shifters for Shimano transmission

Does anyone want to try a Powerbreathe?. It is the basic model. I used to use it when I rowed competatively but it is just sitting in a drawer now.

PS. It is easily sanitised with Milton or similar.

Now surplus to requirements, a suspension mount for Hamax child seats like the Smiley, Sleepy, Siesta (and compatible designs from Halfords, etc.). This one is designed for mounting onto smaller frames, e.g.. many MTB or 'compact' frames, women's step through frames, etc. Basically any frame where the rear stays are lower than a standard diamond frame. We used this on a Giant Boulder and a Globe hybrid, for example. Pushes the seat higher and further back relative to the seat tube, rear stays and thus gives greater heel clearance.

Used but still in excellent nick, like new. Here's a pic from a web retailer:

Currently priced new at around £22 best online deal.

Sell for a tenner, otherwise swap for one of the following:

    - 700c x 28mm Marathon (or Marathon Plus) tyre in good condition
    - 8 speed/triple or friction bar end shifters for Shimano transmission
    - Sturmey Archer 3 speed bar end shifter or 'Pashley' thumb shifter (not the old school trigger shifter).

After having only 3h of daylight time over the holidays for me-stuff I abandoned my dreams of being able to maintain my spare or rebuild my old frame as a singlespeed and ordered enough bits to make a new singlespeed to be my new spare. I will therefore have some spare bits sitting about, which will be Bike Stationed unless anyone wants them.

1 * XL (25"ish?) black Edinburgh "Town and Trail Connect" ten-speed from the early nineties, with a newish (direct mount) rear mech, rear wheel with newish freewheel, newish chain and possibly a front wheel if my spare front wheel is still in the shed. Canti brakes (with Kool Stop salmon pads), thumbshifters on straight bars, full SKS mudguards and a kickstand. I probably have enough old tyres to put 25mm Armadilloes on both ends.
1 * L (56cm?) red aluminium 2006 Revolution Continental Race frame. Considerable paint loss. Mudguard/rack mounts on the rear triangle and a seatclamp-with-rack-mounts. Can be supplied with a free custom cut-down Vavert mudguard which ends at the brake bridge (under which no mudguard can pass).
1 * 'Evo'? 700C black CrMo front fork (1/1/8" steerer, which is still quite long). Mudguard and rack mount points. 35mm Vavert mudguard still attached, which permits a 25mm tyre.
1 * front and 1* rear Shimano dual-pivot caliper brakes, the rear of which is possibly 105; the front might also be 105 but might be 4600-level Tiagra. The rear is still currently attached to the Revolution frame and the front to the black steel fork.

Free to a good home an EBC Revolution Glider tag-along complete with instructions, hitch and the shims to fit the hitch to your seatpost.

An easy way to take your little cyclist (aged 4ish - 7ish) on longer rides or in places where you're not confident for them to cycle on their own (the school run on busy roads, perhaps).

They have one wheel and their own pedals and handlebars. Comes to pieces and folds up so easy to store and will fit in a car.

Ours is black. Well-used and with some superficial rust because it lives outside, but this is cosmetic: it's been regularly oiled in the all the right places, there's lots of life left in the tyres and chain and it's good for many miles yet.

Collect from Morningside. PM me if interested.

"I have more bike parts than I could possibly ever live with"

I'm not ready to say that yet...

Nothing on your list I 'need' (or any of the things you want as a swap), just one question -

    Why so many brake pads?

    "Why so many brake pads?"

It is a loooong story - better shared over a beer than on an internet forum. Suffice to say it involves a good dollop of ignorance on my part! Not quite ready to commit it to ASCII just yet! :)

I'd like one of the sets please, Steveo.

I also have a pair of the multi-release ones that I'm unlikely to use.

We could swap if you like arellcat I'll use those type. I'm not nearly graceful enough to use the single release type!

I have some handlebars and a stem that are surplus to requirements. Thought I would post on here before going to gumtree/e bay. Items as follows:

Salsa Woodchipper handlebars. 44cm. 31.8 clamp. These have quite an aggressive flare design-about 26 degrees-and I think they are a bit like marmite. You either love 'em or hate 'em! I have found I am in the latter camp! Virtually unused. Charlie the Bikemonger doing them for £65.99. I would accept £30.

2 sets of Nitto Noodle handlebars. 44cm. NOTE 26mm clamp diameter. Shallow drops-good for fixies, touring. Good condition-some minor marks from tape and brake levers.£30 new. Looking for £10 each.

    1 Nitto 1" quill stem. 26mm clamp. 90mm length x 190mm. Excellent condition.£42 new. Looking for £15.

    Revolution track pump.

To all intents and purposes, this rather handsome looking pump works. However it has a "dual function" valve head, and I have never got it to work satisfactorily with Schrader valves (car type). Until last week it was just dandy at inflating Presta valves, but now I can't get it to do that either. No problem with the seals, barrel, or pressure gauge. Just the nozzle.

So, free to someone who either has lucky track pump fingers or has the know-how/patience to service the valve head or replace it.

    PM me if interested.

£80 - A "sensible" fixed gear, with eyelets for racks and mudguards and fat pot-hole comfortable tyres. Need to sell it to make space.

Would suit someone about 6ft as it's the largest size planet-x made.

Model is One-one Pompino with stronglight crank (47x16 ratio I believe), comes with both sets of stems and handlebars.

Requires inner tubes, new chain and brake adjustment but it's good to ride.

All the pictures are HERE . Any questions, PM us.

I have a request - does anyone have an old fashioned type bike pump lying about? Like the ones that used to fit on the downtube of your 10 speed racer? If so I'd be glad to take it off your hands. I am trying to resurrect an old bike.

Do mean "framefitting" - ie not needing pump pegs?

    What length?

It doesn't necessarily need to be able to fit on the frame. I am just trying to describe an old pump that most people wouldn't want to be bothered with any more in these days of double action mini pumps or track pumps. There should really be one lying around in the garage with the bike in question but for some inexplicable reason there isn't.
