Anyone know a source of cheap waterbottles? I need another couple of bottles, ideally large capacity, before Friday pm and I resent paying £5(+) a pop for something which really should be a couple of quid :-/

do they need to fit in bicycle bottle racks I take it? 750ml?
Dare I say it, Tesco? If it's just a bottle to hold water they have a line of basic, cheaply priced cycling stuff in their bigger stores (Corstorphine and Hermiston Gait for sure). I'm sure they can't

If you don't mind the word "Cube" on it, how about £4 each at TBC?

I tend to get whatever sports water is cheap at the supermarket (highland spring for example) use it a couple of times and recycle. Every time ive bought a bidon ive lost it.

Bidons?
You mean Bottle don't you?
Silly spell checker ;-)
As a guideline your expected retail price is more like the trade price... the plastic/printing/coloured tops etc all add up it seems.

Asda had 700 ml sis bottles for 30 quid and Tesco do a value one for about a pound, I've only used them for battery holders.
