"This is silly. How can sitting in your cab outside a station be antisocial behaviour?"

IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I love the para where Raymond Davidson, secretary of the Edinburgh Taxi Association, said: "...They wouldn't be there if there was no business for them...".
I beg to differ. They wouldn't be there is there WAS business for them.

Gangs of a different social group, similarly clad and hanging around together with apparently nothing to do are always a bit intimidating and therefore antisocial. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm always uncomfortable cycling past groups of taxis. You never know when one of them's going to pull a u-turn side-swipe on you.
You've got them on that one Dave.
I was on Waverley Bridge about 7PM. There was a L&B police van driving down a column of taxis on the northbound side of the bridge who were all parked there, and moving them on. There was also another, smaller column on the opposite side.
There were still airport buses trying to use the bridge.
There were still tour buses trying to use the bridge.
There were still tourist / rail replacement coaches trying to use the bridge.
They obviously haven't got the message yet so maybe a few ASBOs being dished out should sort things out.
