As already mentioned on here there's a tree down on the Innocent -

"Large tree down and crossing Innocent Path just East of Duddingston Road W. Possible but tricky (with loaded bike) to scramble around the root end." (by amir) (Pic by Anth).

This one (found on Twitter) seems more extreme! "And thank you to the nice lady who helped me lift my bike over the distressed tree." (at Ravelston)

There is also one to the east of DRW and apparently "several" on the North Edinburgh paths but possible to get round all. My source says the biggest trees have fallen sideways. Sounds like a real mess!

    Well done CEC staff.

On the the Roseburn cyclepath near Ravelston Dykes these two trees were down last night and still there this morning. Hopefully will be sorted by the time I go home tonight, fingers crossed :)

Trees which fell onto the River Esk path through Musselburgh have also been cleared. But the ones which fell into the Esk are still there. If you commute by canoe you're going to have to get out and carry. I've not looked at Newhailes yet.

Roseburn part was clear this morning (apart from debris) but the Granton stretch on North Edinburgh network was still tree filled (easily passable though). The Innocent has been done as well so the council are obviously on the ball.

Big tree still lying right across innocent path tonight. Rumour has it that there was an attempt to move it but the vehicle/hoist was not strong enough.

wasn't there last night about 11PM, but there was some brash across the path (looks like it had been trimmed and piled up for collection) that I put back to the side.

There has been a gang of young kids who like to pull down saplings onto the innocent, found them bouncing on one the other day...

In fairness it's been cut back a lot.

Maybe there should be beavers in the Braid Burn - they'd sort it.

There is now another gigantic path blocker on the Roseburn. Must have been on its way down and the high winds yesterday pushed it over. I had to crawl under with my bike.
The trunk on the Innocent above is still there.

Not wishing to knock CEC, but the clearance operation on the Telford path this morning appeared to consist of one youngster half-heartedly applying a hacksaw to a broken branch (one hand on the hacksaw, the other in his pocket) while his two equally youthful companions stood beside the CEC van and watched his handiwork. At that rate, it'll take until 2015 to clear the paths (and I don't mean a quarter past eight in the evening...).

Flaming windy again this morning. Pech. Don't think it is enough to bring any more trees down but if there are some on the edge of falling they might just need a wee push..

There was a tree down at Harrison Park this morning and the canal towpath was closed as a result, although it is easy enough to navigate around via the edge of the park.

In other news, I only recently realised that Polworth is actually spelt Polwarth when I actually took the time to read, rather than merely look at, the sign at the church.

They made short work of the fallen tree yesterday given that the towpath was open when I cycled home last night.
