The worst thing about the bridges over the Forth is that there is no walkway / cycleway on the new one, so when (inevitably) they decide £200m is too much to keep the existing bridge in condition for the scruffs, there will no longer be any link between Fife and the Lothians (unless you want to risk trying to get on the 2-bikes-if-you're-lucky rail service).

yeah but accordingto theposts the bridge is still Ok (well except for the £200m) maybe if restricted to buses and bikes it wont fall down ever?
