    But don't know if it added any riders!

    Sounds interesting.

    The LEPRA Edinburgh to St Andrews run is also on Saturday, may have been mentioned before.

    Nothing like as long, 68 miles (closer to 75 if you then cycle to leuchars for beers/train) but a nice ride with a few wee hills thrown in.

    @Nelly Wee hills? Did it last year and there's a very steep cliff-like edifice just after Freuchie (I think) that was the only time I had to get off and push!

    Won't be doing Edinburgh-St.Andrews this year, too close to our cycle camping tour of East Anglia at the end of this month. Need to put the bike in for a service beforehand, methinks...

    It's a good route and the lunch stop is well organised. I'm planning to ride it. If I do I'll be continuing on the Crail where there's a food festival all weekend.

    @Crowriver

    Indeed - apologies I was failing to be ironic - everyone was banging on about cleish hill, but freuchie was far worse.

    First time I did this ride was on a mountain bike and I was well puggled by glenrothes!!

    The hills are tough, but looking forward to it this year - enjoy your bike / camp tour.

    @mollie - sadly I have to get back her pretty sharp on the sat evening, as a food fest post ride sounds great!!

    Planning on doing the St Andrew's cycle on Sat. Haven't actually signed up yet; will have to get there early to do so on the morning.

    Had a dumb run of my own today 100km and 8 hour of rain, in a jacket that really needs reproofing.

    If you want an overnight ride, (and will be down south), this is on again -

    "
    The 2013 Dunwich Dynamo will be back this year on Saturday 20th July, overnight from London Fields to Dunwich in Suffolk. (Full Moon is Monday 22nd July)

    If you haven't been before, it's a turn-up-and-go challenging, free-entry, overnight 120 mile (or there abouts) bicycle ride on-tarmac.
