A CYCLIST was injured after being hit by a car in Bruntsfield at around 7.35am today.

It is understood the man, thought to be in his mid-20s, was struck by the vehicle near Leamington Terrace and was seen to have bounced off the windshield before hitting the ground.

A member of the public alerted the emergency services.

An ambulance spokesperson said: "The severity of his injuries are not yet known."

I do hope the man is alright.

Unusual for the EEN not to report it as "a cyclist collided with a car". Perhaps they're learning.

Probably just a regurgitated press release from L&B give the sub editor half an hour to rewrite it.

Hope the chap is all right.
