I'm sure Danny McKaskill could cycle down or up them if he wanted to.
It's art: I was at the opening event. The stairs are really nice now!

can you still skite your entire length down them in the rain and will they still be used as a urinal?

I hope the marble has been coated with some sort of protective film. Something being Art normally offers no automatic protection from urine.

They have installed big iron gates at the entrances. May not stop the really determined after hours drunks, as they can always lean against the outside of the gates, but will probably stop the vast majority.
It's really pleasant to use the stairs now, and they smell fresh as a daisy.
