    Excess baggage covered bicycles today:

Sandi Toksvig looks at the simplicity and versatility of the bicycle as a travel machine with three very different cyclists.

    Personal insults?

Hmmmm, well I'd blame Vic and Bob. They used to assume the Sandi Toksvig position.

OK, changed to not mention her neck anymore and only give pro Toksvig out comes.

OK, that's weird. There was a comment about my breaking forum rules over a Toksvig description but it seems to have gone. I knew comments could be edited but I didn't know they could go away.

For what it's worth she is one my favourite Scandinavians.

Many people love Sandi Toksvig. She is a popular Danish entertainer - witty and smart. Indeed I think she is very jolly but she doesn't do it for me, this is because I am a bad person. I will listen to her for longer than Anne Atkins or The Archers esp if she is panel chair on News Quiz. But if she is on her own giving extended monologue to microphone I will switch her off. This is not abut Sandi, it is about me being an insensitive person.

I listen to everything longer than Anne Atkins. When they announce she is on the way I slip the headphones into a sort of neutral position where I can't hear her.

Radio 4 Extra has an extended version of the Now Show. I err... fell asleep listening to it last night.

Anywho, La Toksvig is just the presenter on Excess Baggage, there are some cyclists talking on it too.

Stephen Fry introduced a greatest hits of Horrible History this week. This has been a good way of introducing the boys to the joy of Fry. He was on Just a Minute on Monday and got a whole 60 secs in one go.

I might pick up his Oscar Wilde audio book from iTunes to play them during long summer car trips.

A rare just A Minute where Paul Merton didn't win. He tends to win all shows he is in but without seeming to try too hard. With Atkins when they say and now a thought for today with anne... [I switch off before the surname]
