First of all, I am still a cyclist, who happens to drive a car occasionally,(still hvnt taxed my own car since feb !) I was again delivering Mrs to work today, South gyle finance factory,upon leaving the car park, slowly ,a lycrad up cyclist approaching from right, just off another round about, decided, without any signals at all to turn around and head the opposite direction.Not too much of a problem I hear you , quite rightly say, but ! He decided, without signals remember, to head into the car park exit, turn in front of me,with a stare, causing me to stop ! (itself a major crime ! )and then just swing right back out into the road, across 2 lanes of traffic causing the legally within its right to be there, 4x4 to emergency stop, well done to the driver for anticipating the ensuing carnage ! Cyclist carries on, staring at all concerned, heads back to the round about where he was in the inside/nearside lane whereupon we recieved the first signal of the morning ! When I later caught him up and gave him him plenty of room while i overtook, I got the now well known stare ! I know we all make mistakes, ive been doin it all my life, but a wee bit of ,oops sorry mate, i didnt see you might just have made this less worrying.
