'Cyclists in Aberdeen have been warned to take care on the roads after two serious accidents on the same day this week'.
Err... I think its the drivers who should be being warned to take more care when driving, and look out of other road users.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Couldn't agree more Dave! The response is completely back to front.
Picture (Riverside Drive) and report details Exit from Golf Club suggest both crashes as a result of drivers moving out from side turning into main traffic flow.
Message should be drivers look before pulling out of side turning, but also that cyclists should be alert to the apparent trend of Aberdeen's drivers to pull out from side turnings without checking for a bike. Advice for all make eye contact where you can and give cars at junctions a wide berth, in case the driver decides to move off in front of you
In fairness the police advice is to both groups, but the newspaper headline writers know how to twist these things. In fact the cyclist advice from the police is almost ancillary (with the typical belief that a helmet could help sort a broken leg perhaps); the initial advice is directed at drivers looking out for cyclists and taking care that we might be able to travel more quickly than they think.
STV are obviously massively biased since the sub-headline and picture caption on one of the incidents is the old time honoured "cyclist collided with..". They know who is really to blame. Even if they are not to blame.
Well the correspondant from STV has responded to my email and changed the headline. Well done Danny Law.
