  1. Well one thing I can promise is I'm unlikely to be found sitting at the bottom of a tree on Melville Drive for 20 minutes in the cold of November... ;)

Locations will all have to be reasonably central. Of course I got rid of the pictures from Lothian Road yesterday so I probably need to do that again.

  2. And tomorrow will be from the comfort of Peter's Yard... ;)

    Princes Street could be interesting.

I'd sit at the bottom of a tree on Melville Drive in the pleasant briskness of November.

I might also sit next to one of the tram power-poles on Princes Street at some point one morning to try and catch some of the many instances of cycle-stupidity such as were exhibited this morning.

  5. Must have just missed you!

@wingpig, you have a built-in thermal-reactor so I'll leave the winter counts to you... What happened this morning?

Can I be an honorary 'Melville Driver'? I had to visit someone before work today and afterwards sped towards Tollcross and past a whole load of queueing cars, but missed the CCE survey by about 20 minutes.

The roadworks at the top of Henderson/West Approach Road approach are causing pretty impressive tailbacks, so I cycled past them too.

Great idea for analysis and blipping. There's an August Sander typology in this.

Oooh, ooh, that might include me today. First commute back after holidays and I probably went through about 8:30. Didnt see you taking photos though, so I may have just missed you. Are the photos up on Flickr yet?

    Must have just missed you!

And here was me thinking of looping around Morrison Street back onto Lothian Road, just to get "into" the survey and skew the results by adding a "replica retro kit and matching cap but with emergency non-cycling socks on" category...

@anth General dingbattery: after the roundabout cutter-up at Lochend, when I reached the town centre there was non-looking lane-switching, RLJing (using the 'really slowly doesn't count' technique), pavementing, gutter-hugging, inter-bus slaloming and a perhaps-not-deliberate-but-very-daft completely undone shoelace.

Not yet, but what were you riding and I can check! :)

Starting going through the shots at lunchtime, but planning on breaking down things like helmet and type of bike into gender as well as overall, so I need more time for it.

"You're marking the gender of the bike?"

You can tell by the colour...
