    The Edinburgh Falcons Cycle Speedway Club are delighted to announce the capture of a main event sponsor for the forthcoming British Veterans Championship which is to be staged at the Redbraes track on Saturday 20th August at 2pm.
     
    First Impression Clothing have secured the exclusive rights to covering both the Over 50s & Over 60s Championships and will promote their website of http://www.ficstore.co.uk through this sponsorship. Owners Roni Ferguson & Brian Morris are long time supporters of Scottish Cycle Speedway and were main sponsors of the previous British Championship held in Edinburgh back in 2000. Brian commented “We have watched the club grow with interest over the years and applaud the ambition to bring such events back to Scotland, we had no hesitation in becoming involved in such an exciting meeting and are looking forward to being in attendance on the day”.
     
    The clothing outlet concentrates on brands such as Fruit of the Loom, Glenmuir & Slazenger amongst many others and supply to the retail, sports and corporate market.     I wish I'd gone. Alas my son wanted to go to the Montgomery Street Park Fair instead: quoth he "If I go to the bike racing it will be too boring." Ah well, next time!

    I went down with my youngest on the trailgator. Watched a few races then visited a pal who's front window looks onto the track. Great stuff. These old boys can fairly shift.
    Got a few nice photo's too. I'll post 'em up sometime.

    ...oh and great stovies for a pound.....MMmmmm
