Celebrating the first stage of the Tour of Britain from Peebles to Dumfries, Whitmuir Organics restaurant is hosting a Tour de Border banquet with all main ingredients sourced from on and around the route.
The menu features Walter Scott’s favourite beetroot and tomato soup, stuffed leg of lamb with Broughton Ale gravy, Whitmuir’s signature pearl barley risotto, Cream O’Galloway ice cream and a Locharthur cheese platter.
Diners attired in Lycra will get a free drink on arrival while those who arrive by bicycle will get a free coffee and home made truffle to help them on the journey home.
