    Not particularly about bicycles.

This is one bit of 'civic'/transport infrastrucure that Edinburgh has talked about for DECADES.

There are great (black and white) photos of people having their umbrellas blown inside out as they emerge from Waverley Step onto Princes Street.

The new escalators, which are due to be operational before Christmas, will allow passengers to travel from the station concourse up to a new exit to Princes Street and will be covered by a glass canopy.

Imagine if the glass canopy was also the tram stop...

Maybe the escalator could turn left at the top and go all the way to haymarket?

@CB, PMSL.... but there is an existing line which runs all the way to Haymarket, operated but Scotrail.

I wonder if the Lothian Bus operated Airlink will be withdrawn when the tram is up and running... ...I say, when... ..I mean if.. ..I say if.. ..I mean Yeh - what ever....
