    HUNDREDS of people are expected to attend a joint celebration in Colinton on Sunday.

    The annual village fete, Art in the Park, will be taking place in Spylaw Park at the same time as the park's centenary celebrations. A commemorative plaque is set to be unveiled at 1pm to mark the 100th anniversary of the park, with pipe bands performing.

    Art in the Park is organised by the Colinton Village Events group.

    It started in 2005 and is now the only annual Colinton Village community event.

    We're planning on heading to the Mela - not sure which day though. Hopefully just cycle round the prom from Porty.

    Excellent! (except for the poor people living nearby...).

    Haven't been since they left Pilrig Park. Maybe this is the year to go back!
