It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

I did an audax last year in Angus/Aberdeenshire and the places you had to get your card stamped were all bakeries. This stuck me as quintessentially scottish. French audax you probably get cards stamped in local cycle shops etc, mais en ecosse c'est les croissants

Then again it's 54 miles...! That's heroic by Mr and Mrs Punter's average.
I imagine it will be nice and flat going out with wind assist if prevailing from the west. Turn at Gullane or similar? still flat on way back but this time into the wind it is starting to bite. However, if east wind on the day that would work in your favour. Falko in Gullane does the good cake.
Falko in Bruntsfield is closer...
