I work in Dunfermline and find the high street offers everything I need and can carry home on the bike, although a lot of it is now within the Kingsgate Centre.
I find the cycle parking at the Gyle to be adequate. It is covered so superior to many locations.
The centres failing is in providing a safe route for cyclists to access the parking. There are good cycle routes to the edge of the car part from all directions but no way from there to the parking at the centre's doors. There is also no way to cycle past the centre other than on the car park access roads. It's that element of the access which needs improved rather than the cycle parking itself.
