Must have been some anti cycling stuff in one of the daily rags cause its not a full moon and thats the only explanation i can think off for todays extended level of idiocy by the cagers. Every ASL bar one had a car stop in it, not get stuck in, the one that didn't the light was green.

Bloody First buses! He lulls me into a false sense of security by letting me pass on the way up Dalry road from Morrison Street, then not two mintues later he starts to overtake me just as the road narrows in the end i had to haul on the prayer paddles to avoid going into the side of him. Fair enough it was between hitting on coming traffic or cramping me but if he couldn't get passed in time then he shouldn't have started to pass.

    Just here:

Just as i was about to break out the shot gun a nice person gave way and let me passed parked cars.

steveo - what time? I had minor issues with Firt Bus 44 about 6pm on the LanrkRd

Often if one ASL has traffic in it, they all do on the route. Traffic was bunched at junctions and quite empty inbetween I found tonight.

Yesterdays EEN had yet another of its favourite anti-cyclist rant letters, maybe that is it although I have an entry for the good driving thread today. I am in the process of complaining about a First Bus that nearly wiped me out by running a red light a week or so ago. Didn't get the number but it was in London Road.

Most of the traffic was ok but I was, once again(!) infuriated by the mountain biker who filtered up the traffic to the asl where I was sitting with another cyclist (shoaler!) at Craiglockhart before sailing through the red and turning left off down the hill towards Pentland Land Rover... about 4.20ish iirc, so if it was one of you, BE ASHAMED!!! I only wish I had the headcam on,'cause the day I do he'll be on youtube!

I think it was a 44a as well since you mention it. Would've been about 1745 to 1800, was probably the same edjit.

First must get drivers that LRT don't want doesn't say much about the caliber.

Today was bad for eejits, had a car pull out and block the cycle lane completely due to the fact that they could not turn into traffic, so a wiggle round that, to have three cars taking a left filter a few yards further up all sitting in the cycle lane so could not get past, and next thing is two cars overtake me approaching a mini roundabout for the first one to go straight ahead and the one behind turn immediately left in front of me, now what was all that about!!! Weird. Cars also in ASLs on the way home. Also the number of cars seen today with just the front windscreen and side windows only partially defrosted, obviously seeing out the rear windscreen just does not matter or the rest of the windows for that matter. I know it must be tough having to scrape the windows so much, every day for weeks on end, sad, but safety does not seem to impinge on the mentality of these drivers, they cannot possibly see properly but it does not seem to matter to them. Bizarre.
