On Saturday we went to the new transport Museum in Glasgow. We parked at the Science Center (parking £3) on the south side of the river. As we faffed for ages we didn't get there in time for a proper visit to we skipped the Science Center and went straight to the museum. The boys took their bikes and we walked. They loved watching the Scottish Helecopters as one of them took off (hope the call out went well). The route from the Helepad to the museum is a little disapointing. The route takes you past n old demoloshed docksite road which has lots of puddles and one very large puddle stretched almost across the entire road. I kind person in their LD Disco had parked on the only dry spot forcing everyone through the puddle. (mental note: buy some more bike pump Schrader valves to screw onto tyres) Anyway at the museum were Cycling Scotland giving Bikeability tuition to children (top marks), Eds Bikecoop with a boarded route, Alpine bikes giving maintanace and Clan Cycles and Dan MacAskill doing crazy stunts out front. We had a brilliant time and the boys loved the stunts and cycling tuition.
The Museum is free and well worth a trip across to visit.
