Decision made - I am getting the hip resurfacing operation on 26 october.
Slightly nervous, but needs must etc. Cant walk to The Meadows and back - half a mile in total.

Good luck Nelly. I've been under the knife a couple of times (one knee; one elbow; both self-inflicted - my elbow is equally bionic) so any trepidation is entirely understood. No matter how 70s Benny Hill it sounds, having an attractive nurse by the bed when you wake up does wonders.

Just as long as the resurfacing is not carried out by the contractors that do Edinburgh roads
Spytefear, lets hope it is less protracted - although you cant argue with their business acumen - do job poorly, get paid, do job again, get paid etc.
