'Disgusting' smell wafts over Edinburgh north and west
Anyone smelled it who can describe? Is it a rotten egg smell? Nothing detectable at the Gyle. If SEPA are involved it may be an algal or bacterial bloom along the foreshore or something similar.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

It's the Gogarbank chicken farm, apparently. I can almost smell something in the air right now in Sighthill, a sort of badly cooked meat sort of smell.
Goodness knows what's happened but I hope the animals are ok.
@arellcat - it is highly unlikely that the animals are Ok. Stuck in their wee slots churning out the eggs or waiting to be boiled up into Chunky Chicken, not much of a life.
Is it the usual smell just more pungent due to wind direction or climactic conditions or something more horrid?
I love the smells from the Burton biscuit factory
