I’m a fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and we’ve just launched a new cycling event which will be taking place next July – and is the reason for me contacting you. It’s a three day cycle from Edinburgh to Dublin - a 220 mile route from capital to capital.

It’s the first time we’ve organised this particular challenge so I’m looking for as much help as possible to spread the word, and help promote it within Edinburgh – so I’m really just looking for a little bit of support.

I’ve attached some information about the cycle itself in the PDF attached, and I’m wondering if there is any way you may be able to publish details of the challenge to your website, or if you may have any other suggestions as to how I can engage with the cycling community within Edinburgh? Any help that you’re able to offer would be absolutely fantastic and so much appreciated. There’s also a bit more information about the event on our website at http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/edinburghdublin.

The funds that we raise from the event will provide care and support to people with terminal cancer and other life limiting illness in their own homes, close to the people that they love, so any support we receive is vital to the work of our nurses. And all of the funds raised from the event will stay locally too – within the Edinburgh and Lothians area.

If there’s any further information that I can give you, if you think you might be able to help me, please do just get in touch.

Thanks so much for your time – I’m very grateful. I really hope to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards

    Nic

Yeah - I'm thinking bout this one (and/or the Mizen-Malin ride). I did a LEJOG earlier this year with a Marie Curie group and the organisation was superb.

Route is good - Edinburgh out Lang Whang to Troon - catamaran to Larne. Then two 70mile days with time to go and look at the head of the Blessed Oliver Plunkett before arriving in Dublin

    Thanks

I really appreciate that.  Fingers crossed we get a bit of interest…we have a whole 60 places to fill, but it really should be a fantastic trip for all of those who take part.

    Thanks again…
