I do find that if the day has started stressfully [all packed lunch items suddenly found to have been eaten by sprogs the night before, no one getting up except me, homework not done, teenager mono-syllabic, others squabbling etc.] that generally speaking just getting the head down and pedalling removes the stress
not so much as a solution to the problems [they are endemic] but a way of gaining perspective, I am not good at that first thing in the morning

I bet we could all come up with a problem a bike ride won't solve. I'll start with - saddle sores.

Recumbent. No chafing and the increased blood flow will help heal those saddle sores that bit quicker.
