Interesting that they are gritting "priority pavements" I wonder where they are?
There was also this post from Edinburgh Cycle Chic...

The Warriston path was gritted this morning. I will gather intelligence about some of the rest of the NE network. Innocent was still ice-rut-tacular.

Main roads were great today. Actually, even the side roads were fine (though I rode out a bit further form the edge than normal - and was keeping a very close eye on the Johnstone Terrace downslope, 'specially since there are roadworks lights at the bottom, queueing traffic, and a Ford Galaxy desperate to overtake before hitting that queue).

Sub-Crags path around the NE section of the hill not treated and frosty at the edges opposite the Scotsman and quite lumpy-icy south of/anticlockwise from the bit where the footpath crosses the road.
The barrier was down at the exit from the circum-hill road, which is unusual for a quarter to nine, which might signify something concerning its treatedness/frostiness.

A gritter lorry passed me at arm's length this morning on the way up Regent Road, so the rock salt crystals pinged off my spokes and rims.
At least on the way home there should not be any black ice on that descent!
