Looks like Scotland is 'world class' in the obesity stakes. We are even better than the Americans! Wow.
The answer to this, of course, is to build more motorways. That should help folk keep in trim.

Well, what do they expect? It's not like they've made any attempt to improve the weather. They can't expect us to eat salad in a howling gale.
I was in Greece for 2 weeks in September, and the day we came back, we were sitting under a tree in 28C heat eating fresh figs from the tree. We flew back to Newcastle and were sitting on the platform in the pissing rain waiting for a train home eating pickled onion Monster Munch.

@Kirst - someone at work gave me some of those Japanese peas yesterday- the wasabi flavour went right down my nose - quite painful [tho cleared a headache] - very similar to my experience of picked onion monster munch but without the furry fingers afterwards

Not really a surprise when you consider the some of the marketing employed and the lack of will possessed by most folk.
My bus ticket this morning had a voucher for a Big Mac and chips for £2. Not a problem when I'm on the bike but for your average bus user that's a lot of calories not to get used.
