Prompted by another post, does anyone have any tales about stuff getting wet while on bikes ?
My worst was after a particularly muddy/ wet run across the pentlands, we returned to the car only to find that the key fob for the car, my brothers !!! was soaking wet and wouldnt open the car ! Opening it with the key fired the alarm and it took ages trying to contact my brother to find out how to disable it and get going !
Answer, always have a polly bag liner AND a polly bag to wrap around keys, cameras, phones etc etc etc !

Not too bad on bicycles, have drowned many, many expensive things during other outdoorsy pursuits though :-/

Top bits of kit are ziplock freezer bags and canoe/drybags.

Putting a slightly open bottle of sports drink into a waterproof pannier with your clothes for the day is a bad idea.
    Answer-don't be a muppet.

Yes from my diving days I have a few drybags which I pop into rucksack or panniers if I have to carry anythng when its very wet. Ziplock bags are also good - doubled up. I used to have one of those waterproof money tubs on a string you used to get on holidays, which was usedfull for keys etc..
