Swan killed in Holyrood Park by...

    ...the irresponsible use of bread. This caused the bird to be on the road where anything is automatically run over as a matter of course.

    Well I know I shouldn't have expected sense from the EN. Comment section claims - "the park authorities say the very people who most admire them may be to blame, especially if they feed them away from the loch and too near the road."

      'Drivers told to slow down after swan killed by car' - 'swans and other birds are congregating on the grass, in the car park and on the road due to the cold weather and the loch being frozen. This poses extra danger fro them due to the number of cars passing through the park.'

    Hmmm, if a driver can't miss something the size of a swan, what chance children? :-(
