I moosen't join in with these terrible puns. Instead - thinking of any deer I have ever startled [generally when walking] the nearest I have ever got to them is about 10 feet then they take off away from me [often in a daft direction and very quickly]. Cav probably going so fast he actually sneaked right up on it etc.

I have no wish to horn in on threads of this elk and hopefully it will be rein-ed in before too many fallow this way. Someone is going to get tick-ed off and it's time to get out of this rut.
Saw some deer on the side of the M8 near the Fort a couple of weeks ago.
