    Weird, but what the hey. Normally it's the other way around!

    For example, a few years ago a Japanese made amatuer radio (Yaesu FT857 since you ask) was a little over £500 UK, but I got an American Ham to buy one on my behalf and send it to me, with extras fitted (a CW filter in case there are any hams on here who are curious!) for less than £400, and that includes the carriage...

    Global market... it's up to us how we use it :-)

    Seems like the trade organization feeling sorry for itself because Europe has consumer protection laws that protect the consumer from the kind of practice they are trying to promote. Cry me a bloody a river.
