Good thing you weren't out at 2am

Warm too (depending on wind chill).

Yes, I made the mistake of listening to R4 about how 'chilly' it was out and put extra layers on after being cold yesterday. Mistake!

Running about doing midwife visit et al this morning, now just getting ready to take the motorised bicycle to work (via TBC to drop off a wheel build ;-))
Not looking forwards to it really :-/

Ooh, it's foul out there this morning! Not nice cycling weather.

Very sweaty ride in this morning. Definitely overdressed for the ambient temperature.

    YES

I'm waiting for a 'weather window'...

So, it's waterproof trousers and not too many layers(?)

    Is The Mound/Hanover Street 'open'?

I was pretty glad of both my army surplus not-sure-what-kind bag I bodged into messenger style and of my absurdly heavy chain this morning.

The latter for anchorage and the former for being robust enough to carry the chain and for sitting nicely on my hip so my lower back wasn't a small saline loch by the time I was in the office.

@chdot - despite both k'nik and my comments about the temp, whatever is coming down outside my office window at the moment looks more like sleet than anything else :(

The forecast is for it to continue dropping this afternoon. Good day to stay in, methinks!

Motorway riding was... "cheeky"! Glad in some ways i'm back on the bicycle tomorrow, there were some *nasty* gusts and crosswinds today.
Would be nice (in some ways!) to get some snow and ice overnight, would justify the be-spiked LHT

    B-))

Temp down by 6 degrees in a bit over an hour, wind direction changed and speed down. If the rain stops, conditions for Hilly Tuesday might be okay (don't like it too hot!).

I think I'll do a couple (for a "laugh") regardless of the weather, but I've just been booked in to design some kiddies party invites and there's this thing called citycycling wanting some attention so I shall probably wuss out at that point!

I'm looking at doing a lap - assuming it's not a monsoon or ice storm.
    Just for research...!

Gah. Change of plans. Will probably (as in, definitely) be delayed as I have to deviate by my parents' place on way home and that will involve not refusing offer of tea and biscuits

I think I will just go straight home tonight. That will be tough enough. Let's hope next Tuesday hs more clement weather.

Yes I heard that too. Doesn't bode well for a ride home. FRB already stating gusts of over 50mph.. eek??

If they're on strike will they not notice me walking over the bridge???

Have you ever taken a bike on a bus to Fife?

    Some (Stagecoach) services take them.
