Best cantilever brakes for touring/commuting bike?

    I'm considering whether or not to try canti's on my Surly LHT (the springs on my no name V brakes are getting pretty tired and will need sorting soon) and wondered if anyone has any recommendations as to the most attractive/reliable/powerful/lightest etc :)
    The bike has Dia-compe 287v levers btw.

    Smudge, I've got some Avid shortys sat in the garage if you fancy them. Should work fine with your levers.

    Any idea who sells them? I've long wanted to replace the cantilevers on my tourer.
