Yesterday we met up for a ride round Fife. It was planned to be an Audax Eccoss, not an official audax but a few riders who regularly ride Audax visiting us in Fife.

We set off from Inverkeithing and rode west along the A985 to turn up to Crossford and then through West Limes Mark to Craiguscar Rd picking up the A823. At this point we had snow and sleet falling with a semi white covering on the feilds and trees. We turned right at B915 and headed for Cleich hill (east of Loch Glow. At the foot of the Cleich road the road was covered in snow completely with flattened tracks where cars and 4x4's had driven over. It was slippery in places but at the top we stopped to take a few picks:

On the desent we walked a little and cycled some, but it was slippery in places. Finally on the B9097 we headed north to Kinross where we headed out to Loch Leven's Larder for some food. After tat we headed out through Scotlandwell & Loch Awe Meddows country park to cycle up to Kelty and over Hill of Beath, where I had a much needed Gell sashet before returning through Crossgates. We left a friend to ride back with our visitor to Inverkeithing and Steve and I headed down to Dalgety Bay direct. Steve chose to use the cycle path over the road, which I regretted at the foot of the hill. There is a bridge over a burn on the cycle path which is made out of wooden decking and as I rode onto the decking my bike went left as I went right. No serious injuries but my right knee hip and elbow are brused. I was wearing a helmet so my bang to the head wasn't even noticed but I have mild wiplash - showing its self as a stiff neck on the left side. The bikes is ok, having been a little bent out of true but the handle bars straightened out and I recovered my lights which flew off at the time.

Funny that after all than snow and Ice I came off on a warm wet wooden decked bridge, but then I wasn't expecting it as i was on Cleich.
