"Conservative London Assembly Members today prevented a debate about the recent spate of cyclist deaths on London’s roads after they staged a walkout at City Hall"

I can't beleive there is no course for redress of the members deriliction of duty. If I was to walk out during an important meeting at work I would face formal disipline, written warning.

    Here are their names:

    Cllr Tony Arbour
    Gareth Bacon
    Richard Barnes
    Andrew Boff
    Victoria Borwick
    James Cleverly
    Cllr Brian Coleman
    Roger Evans
    Kit Malthouse
    Steve O'Connell
    Richard Tracey

They should be feeling very ashamed of themselves.

  2. That. Is. Ridiculous.

They are voted in to represent the people of their ward!

The London Assembly has 25 members, standing orders require 50% of members to be present for a meeting to go ahead. Given there are 11 Tories they knew exactly the result of their actions.

Also, the excuse given that they walked out as they don't have the chair of any Committee is wrong - there is a Conservative chair of the Health and Public Services Committee.

    These people are below contempt.
