Grants of up to £10,000 are available to community-led projects aiming to increase the number of trips made by bicycle.

Applications for Cycling Scotland’s Cycle Friendly and Sustainable Communities Fund are now open for the second round of funding, following the successful Cycle Friendly Communities Fund, which has distributed more that £200,000.

The deadline is January 23. To apply, contact Christopher Johnson on 0141-229 5353.

I note the only Edinburgh based project listed is in Muirhouse, but surely there have been some more?

There's a pan-European tour by bicycle velomobile in the works for 2013, to promote human power as a viable option in long distance travel. I wonder if Cycling Scotland would sponsor some Scottish riders and help kit them out?
