  1. After something like 250,000 emails over the last week while things appear to be slowing to a halt (there was also a possibly connected hack into my paypal account, but that has, thankfully, also been resolved with the help of paypal's fraud unit). It's completely knocked out anything to do with the site in that time - no chance of emailing out (or at least of knowing if the email did actually get out); and anything coming in is lost in the mire, or delayed (I'm getting emails in from people now that are two weeks old - including those that would have highlighted there were some odd things going on with my paypal).

Which knock-on effect is that I could do precisely no forward planning for the cc due out a week on Friday. So it's not going online a week on Friday. Instead I'll concentrate on getting it ready for the February issue (as well as beefing up my various anti-spam measures).

I'm just glad things seem to be under control again.

My own domain hosting runs boxtrapper and spamassasin amongst other things and it has always proved to keep things to a minimum. It's got much better of late, largely 2 or 3 items a day. I no longer seem to get Canadian Pharma which was my main amusement for a while, now I am constantly being propositioned by the "facebook of cheaters" and "lonely housewives whose husbands are out of town".
