CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I couldn't possibly incriminate myself, therefore am citing human rights act, fifth ammendment etc.
we're supposed to be visiting the pandas but 5 year old has flu / meningitis like thing. luckily seems to be somewhat better the past hour or so...
Oooh, GWS to mini-SRD!
(I think I saw Mr SRD at the farmers marker on Saturday, but couldn't be sure enough to say hi, so if I walked past and looked like I blanked him... sorry!)
@thebikechain - since you're in... Do you have any of the white Vavert 'guards that will fit over 32 tyres in stock? Still convinced there will be snow on the way at some point, at which time the X will become transport of choice - but need 'guards for that, and got CX tyres on.
Spodding during the holidays (waves).
Incidentally, I appear to have annoyed "Incandescent" on the Evening News forums to the point where he's gone searching and found my alt fule head thread. If he appears on here then my apologies in advance :-o :-/
Ooh - t'was always a possibility. Which news story was that on?
The one about the possible car ban in the old town, http://www.scotsman.com/edinburgh-evening-news/transport/motorists_facing_old_town_ban_under_latest_city_plans_1_1991403 I've been answering him back and refusing to let him get the last word in and it seems to have really wound him up. He seems to reckon I'm a bully now! (as well as self obsessed for daring to challenge him)
SRD - hope little one gets better ASAP.
Smudge - I love it, best EEN thread ever!
anth - I'm luxuriating in unaccustomed peace and quiet at home, sorry.
@Morningsider, thanks B-) it's hard to judge sometimes if descending to the level of EN commentators is counter-productive or not :-/
Too tempting not to wind him up though :-)
@SRD, thoughts with you and best wishes for the wee one :-(
Ah, yes, the Bike Chain, that reminds me that I need a new frame ordered.
Thanks all for the best wishes; its not meningitus, probably just flu. and she seems much improved now anyway.
not at work. just plain bored at home
my exitement for the day was dropping some forks off at the bicycle works today
not easy with one arm and those winds!
@SRD, that's good news :-) Here's to a speedy recovery, hope she's back getting under your feet and being a pest as soon as possible ;-)
@anth - nope sorry.
@inst - step into my realm.
@tbc -- ordered - the Surly LHT. Thanks.
Still debating the Surly Pacer with myself. It's just not quite as perfect as the Velo Orange frame I'd been considering for Mel, but it's a bit cheaper...
Ohhh that's you is it. I am terrible with the user name and real name thing.
BOSH! We will of course administer the usual CCE love to the price of the frame when it appears.
Anth... Pacers are cheap at mo... what size?
To fit a 5'3" rider... Still making them in Green?
@Inst, good choice that man! B-) If you want a look at mine anytime let me know :-)
@Anth/TBC Hmmm bulk discount on Pacer frame....? I'm very tempted by a silver one the same size as my LHT.... we may have to chat deals!
