Suspect today's Yehuda (not behind the paywall, but really worth $12 a year) speaks to many of us...

Arf, usual parental malaise or something special? We had random throwing up, which was fun. Thankfully aim is getting better so we can usually contain it in some manner.

So I'm not the only one in that boat this morning. Fortunately it was the wife who had the bairn sleeping on her all night... Once we actually got him to sleep.

Yup, 'fraid you got that one right. Baby spent Friday night sick, last night was turn of 5 year old. Luckily she eventually got some sleep and by the time I had to left for work, she was in better shape. But, we've run out of clean sheets.......

The joy! New (and slightly bigger) washing machine is being kept busy our way. BTW, if you don't have/have room for a tumble dryer, this is rather good although the price seems to have gone up by £10. Works double quick if you chuck a clean/dry sheet over top.

Thanks Stepdoh - our pulley dries things very well, as does our back green. Just as well, as we usually have baby in washable nappies...and two messy kids, even when they're well.

Harumph, previous flat owners took pulley down, and back green is a bit of a junkie wasteland at the mo (despite my efforts!) so this is our best option.

Some black bags and a big bottle of Monsanto's finest Roundup come the warmer weather. (Yes i know it's evil stuff, but we have some seriously tenacious plantlife out back.

Stepdoh. Josie got a pully system from Gumtree £12 from a flat in Stockbridge. You might be able to replace yours cheeply.

Morningside hardware sells them. Also lots and lots online (different sizes, etc).
