On my way to recombette's football this morning and found my neighbor from round the corner emptying their stuff from their car which had been written off after a high speed police chase piled into a row of parked cars opposite scotmid at 5am this morning..... I never heard a thing.

Heavens. Was it the miscreants or the policers which did the piling?

I was awake and didn't hear it either. Funny thing is, we walked along there too and I just thought it was bad pavement parking (there being another example along the way), only say the smashed in-ness on the way back (neighbour still clearing stuff out).

I was about to say to them "what sort of parking do you call this?" In my usual hilarious jokey way!! then noticed that the car was smashed in. They live further up the road and had a nice phone call from the police this morning. I've lived here for 7 years and that's the 3rd late night miscreant car crash on that corner . One guy hit the traffic island at speed then ran off and hid in one of the gardens....... in full view of a number of residents who then pointed the police in his direction.... think he'd had a few ales!

I worked with a guy once who lived opp the school on Ashley terr. He had the police knock on his door once as his car had been ploughed into and was now perpendicular to the pavement. The worse thing was he had to pay to have his car towed away as it was causing an obstruction. I know his insurance paid out but not if they re-embursed for the towing fee.
