How fast am I going?

Had a jolly ride home last night - first of all there were police on Waterfront Avenue with a radar trap (who kindly shouted out "16!" to me as I "whizzed" past) and then there is a new speed display on Lower Granton Road (near the Saab garage) which will spot a cyclist's speed too ("13 - Thank You" - going uphill).

Ooh I must find the one on Lower Granton Road to, er, give my speedo a calibration test!

I've seen those Speed signs on the CX circuits. They say "11 C'mon. Dig In!!"....

Actually this reminds me of the Cotic X Youtube video where the guy flies through the speed sign and it shows 33mph :-(.... No matter how fast I am I have yet to see a sign react to me.

"No matter how fast I am I have yet to see a sign react to me"

The one in Millerhill (village) works fine.

There's one at Inveresk that reacts to cyclists. Used to be one on way into Wallyford, but that's gone now

There's one in Charlestown too. Quite fun as it's on a downhill stretch. Seems to tally with the bike computer too...

Crowriver! Damb man you are right. Its in Limekilns as you head east to the village center. We cycled past it a few weeks ago!

No longer Limekilns once you climb the cobbled hill (going West), it's Charlestown from then on.

The great thing is it's a 20mph limit through the village so you can cruise up to the sign and still end up on the naughty step. There's another heading into Limekilns from the A985.

(ps If you're heading this way, give me a shout and I'll make you a cup of tea).

Ah, nice of you to offer. I'll be tea'd out then as my mum lives in Charlestown and I'd be sure to have a cup or three there...
