A rather useful sign on the rear left of a cement truck warning not to go past the sign if it is turning left (and perhaps indicating). Although it was covered in muck it was still visible.
Assuming people read and heed the warning it seems like something that would be worth while on a lot of large vehicles? I'm sure out of the 1000's of close encounters it must stop 1 or two.

You do see quite a lot of these. Unfortunately nobody's come up with a practical "do not half overtake and turn left" sign for cyclists!

I saw a lorry in London once with two signs on the back. The one on the rear right said 'Cycle side' and the one on the rear left said 'Sui-side'. I thought that sent a pretty straight-up message.
