Hi all,
there's a "Critical Mass" this Friday. I went on the last one, not quite knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised to find the group chilled, law-abiding, careful cyclists. So I'll be along this month too! Hope it stays that way.
Anyone on here a CMer?

That's interesting. I thought it had vanished as a "last Friday of the month" event - in Edinburgh.
There has been a fair bit of discussion on here in the past - with pretty mixed views!

@chdot: I was definitely a bit nervous about Critical Mass, as I was worried it would be an excuse to cause trouble with cars, but the one I went to was nice, if a little sub-critical. I assume with summer coming it'll get a bit bigger...
The February ride's already got 29 people on facebook! Cool :)

@Arellcat, sorry, I was thinking that when I was copying the urls, but I don't know where else it's being advertised.
To summarise:
- They meet at the flat bit on the Mound from 5:30pm (ride starts @ 6).
- There's a link to the wikipedia page about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_Mass
- They're on the last Friday of the month (so the next one's on the 24th).
- "Bring your bike, a friend, and a readiness to enjoy taking back our streets with pedal power!"
I'll bring a friend or two :)

I appreciate why people aren't on facebook. I didn't want to join, but L made an account for me... and I inevitably got sucked into it. Now it's impossible to escape...
Ha! I like it, you are lionfish but you're other half is presumably called Lionfish (capital L - indicating they) wears the trousers? ;<)
Uh, actually she's called Lyndsey, but I was trying to hide her identity! And she's not made up a random online name. Why lionfish isn't capitalised I don't know - not very grammatical anyway...
